In today’s Gospel, Jesus enters Jerusalem and looks carefully at everything around Him. Then He meets a fig tree without fruit and speaks strong words. Soon after, He enters the temple and calls the people back to a true, pure, and sincere faith. This passage invites us to pause. To look into our hearts. To ask whether our faith bears love, forgiveness, and trust in God. The Lord does not seek appearances. He seeks a living heart. He seeks children who know how to pray with faith and live with mercy. Even today, Jesus walks beside our lives and waits for fruits of goodness.
Lord Jesus,
You know my heart.
You see the leaves I show to others.
And You also see the fruits that are missing.
Do not turn away from me.
Enter the temple of my life.
Drive out everything that separates me from You.
Remove the noise, the fear, and the pride.
Make my heart a house of prayer.
Give me a simple faith.
A faith that does not doubt Your love.
A faith that knows how to wait.
A faith that kneels down and trusts.
Teach me to forgive.
Even when it is difficult.
Even when my heart is wounded.
Because the one who forgives resembles the Father.
May my life bear good fruit.
Fruits of peace.
Fruits of charity.
Fruits that speak of You in the silence of daily life.

EXPLANATION
The fig tree without fruit represents a faith that is only outward appearance. Jesus desires a sincere heart, capable of truly loving. The cleansing of the temple reminds us that prayer cannot be separated from conversion of life.
In today’s Gospel, the Lord also calls us to forgiveness: whoever trusts in God and forgives others opens the heart to grace. True faith produces concrete fruits of goodness, humility, and mercy.

- Spend five minutes in silence before the Lord.
- Forgive someone toward whom you still carry bitterness.
- Perform a concrete act of charity without expecting anything back.
- Slowly read Mark 11:11-25.
- Ask yourself what fruits your faith is producing today.
