On the mountain of the Beatitudes, Jesus shows a path different from that of the world. He does not promise success or power, but a heart that is free and open to God. Today, let us trust in His word and ask for the grace to walk in true happiness.

Lord Jesus,
when I seek happiness in things that pass away,
turn my gaze back to You.
You are the good that never fades.

Give me a poor and humble heart,
able to trust in the Father.
Free me from whatever weighs down my soul.

When I encounter sorrow,
teach me not to lose hope.
May every tear become an expectation of Your consolation.

Make me gentle in my words,
patient in trials,
and attentive to those who walk beside me.

And when doing good requires courage,
sustain me with Your grace.
May my joy be found in You, today and forever.

Amen.
