Jesus sends His disciples with empty hands and full hearts. He does not ask them to accumulate, but to give. Not to impose themselves, but to bring peace. This prayer helps us become simple signs of God’s presence among the people we meet today.
Lord Jesus,
You call me to walk without fear.
You send me onto the roads of the world.
Keep my heart light.
May all my trust rest in You.
Give me words that bring comfort.
Make me close to those who are weary.
May no one feel alone after meeting me.
Place Your peace upon my lips.
Like the morning dew,
may it descend upon homes,
families,
workplaces,
and places of suffering.
When I am tempted to seek human securities,
remind me that You are the true treasure.
Teach me to receive with gratitude
and to give with generosity.
Today I want to be a small messenger of the Gospel.
Walk before me.
Open the doors of hearts.
And may Your presence bring hope where light is lacking.
Amen.
