Prayer to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina – Faith, Mercy and Hope

O Saint Pio of Pietrelcina,
humble and faithful priest,
you who devoted your life to Christ
and sought to become like him
even unto the Cross,
pray for us.

You who welcomed so many people
to the Sacrament of Reconciliation,
lead them today as well
toward the mercy of God.
Obtain for us a sincere heart,
capable of recognizing sin
and trusting in the Father’s forgiveness.

You who accompanied many souls
on their journey of faith,
sustain those who seek guidance,
those who feel lost,
those who are going through moments of doubt
and desire to find their way back to Christ.

Teach us to pray with perseverance,
to remain faithful in times of trial
and not to flee from the Cross
when the journey becomes difficult.

Saint Pio,
you who knew suffering
and offered your life to God,
help us to face our trials
with faith and hope,
united with Jesus crucified and risen.

Look with particular love
upon the sick, the elderly and those who suffer,
those who live in loneliness,
those who lack what they need to live
and all those who carry in their hearts
a suffering known to no one else.

You who cared for the poor
and those in need,
teach us not to remain indifferent
before the suffering of our brothers and sisters.

Obtain for us eyes capable of seeing
those who need a word,
a concrete gesture,
a faithful presence
and sincere help.

Pray for priests,
that they may be faithful ministers of mercy,
fathers who know how to listen
and guides who lead every person
to an encounter with Christ.

Pray for our families,
for those who are far from the faith,
for those who seek consolation
and for all who long to begin again.

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina,
man of prayer, the Cross and mercy,
accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage.

May we too,
through our small daily actions,
learn to conform our lives to Christ
and remain faithful to his Gospel.

Lead us to Jesus,
for in him we find
forgiveness, peace and salvation.

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina,
pray for us
and intercede for all those
who entrust themselves to your prayers.

Amen.
