Encountering human suffering, we often find ourselves fragile and lost. Jesus invites us not to place trust in our own strength alone, but to entrust ourselves completely to the Father. Faith does not measure the power of our efforts, but the greatness of the Lord who acts in our smallness.

Lord Jesus, Master of mercy,
look upon our weakness when the storm of pain dismay us.
Increase our wavering trust.

Teach us the humility of those who know how to ask for help,
freeing us from the presumption of self-sufficiency.

Explanation

5. Perform a work of mercy: Offer material or spiritual aid to a struggling family in your parish.
