Daily Prayer for Thursday, August 20, 2026 titled: “The Wedding Garment for the Banquet of Grace”

God continuously calls us to the joy of His Kingdom. The invitation to the Son’s wedding is open to everyone, excluding no one. However, we cannot present ourselves before the Lord with the arrogance of those who refuse His grace. He desires a renewed heart, clothed in the clean garment of love.

King of glory,
who prepare for us the endless feast of salvation,
grant us promptness in answering your daily call.

Forgive us when we prefer our own affairs to your love,
or when we receive your gifts with superficiality.
Our merits are not enough to cross your threshold.

Holy Spirit,
clothe us in the wedding garment of charity and conversion,
so that we may not remain silent before your holiness.

Look with mercy upon the highways of the world,
gather the poor, the wounded, and the lost,
and make us active instruments of your universal call.

Day by day,
transform our hearts into an altar of gratitude,
until the moment we sit with You at the eternal table.
